The Founders
John Ferguson & Charles Goldsmith
John Ferguson has 30 years plus of being embedded in the finance community of London, Dublin, The UAE and further afield. Originally from London, John has lived outside the UK since 2006. A former member of the Compliance Institute, Securities & Investment Institute, and current member of the London Institute of Directors, John has extensive knowledge and experience of Capital Markets, Structured Finance, and Corporate Finance Solutions. John established the business in 2008 with co-founder Charles Goldsmith who sadly passed away in June 2026. Charlie had extensive knowledge of the Corporate Finance space and had worked in Capital Markets for over two decades. Charlie was a well known and well respected member of the London business community, and his DNA and ethics remain embedded in every part of the Lillywhite group.
David Howells
David enjoyed a hugely successful career as an English Premier League footballer playing over 300 games for Tottenham Hotspur, and winning the 1991 FA Cup. Following his retirement from professional soccer, David took his organisational, leadership and team skills into the private education sector with spells as head of sports at Charterhouse and Farnham Heath End schools. David has also spent time as Director of Football at Guildford City FC, establishing resort based soccer camps for children, and working with technology businesses for the development of sports community apps. Davids extensive network of contacts and relationships across many business sectors, along with his unrivalled organisational and structural skills, and professionalism makes him well placed to work alongside John Ferguson in developing new business opportunities and cementing relationships with new and existing clients.
John & (historically Charlie) has extensive and long standing relationships with financial institutions all over the world and is able to utilise these relationships to the benefit of clients.
